The Uttar Pradesh Bhulekh (UP Land Records) portal has updated its khatauni display to show plot areas in three units simultaneously: Bigha/Biswa (traditional), Square Feet (most-used), and Square Meters (metric). The update, part of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme, affects all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

The core conversion remains: 1 Bigha (UP) = 27,225 sq ft = 2,529.3 sq meters. Use our bigha to square feet in up calculator — the most-searched land conversion tool in India — for instant results.

UP Sub-units: Biswa and Biswansi

The UP Bigha is divided into 20 Biswa (1,361 sq ft each) and each Biswa into 20 Biswansi (68 sq ft). Our biswa to square feet calculator handles these sub-unit conversions for UP property buyers working with village-level khasra records.
