We take accuracy very seriously. We will investigate and, if the error is confirmed, update the calculator within 24 hours and credit you in our changelog.
Is there a traditional Indian measurement unit we have not covered? Regional cooking units from your state? A construction calculation specific to your industry? Send us the unit name, its conversion factor, and the source of that figure. We add new calculators every month.

How quickly do you update calculators when government standards change?
We aim to update within 24 hours of an official notification. For example, when Bihar’s revenue department revised the Bigha standard for digital records, we updated our bigha to square feet in bihar calculator and published an explanatory news article on the same day as the official circular.
Can I use your conversion data in my own app or website?
The conversion factors themselves (e.g., 1 Bigha UP = 27,225 sq ft) are derived from public government sources and are in the public domain. Our original editorial content — including our KGR-targeted articles, FAQs, and explanatory text — is copyright Measurements.in and may not be reproduced without permission. If you want to use our data in a commercial product, please contact us to discuss licensing.
Do you offer a paid API for conversion data?
We do not currently offer a public API, but we are open to data licensing arrangements for verified commercial use cases. Email us with your use case and we will discuss options.
I found a mistake in the BMI / EMI / CGPA calculator. How do I report it?
Use the error reporting process described above. For health and academic calculators, please include the specific formula or official document you believe we should be using. For example, if ICMR has updated BMI cutoffs for Indians, a link to that document is extremely helpful and will speed up our review.
Can you add a measurement unit specific to my community or region?
Yes, absolutely. If you can provide the unit name, its conversion factor, and a verifiable source (state revenue document, BIS standard, or peer-reviewed reference), we will add it. We have already added Lecha (Assam), Chatak (Bengal), Guntha (Maharashtra), Ground (Tamil Nadu), and Pavan/Sovereign (Kerala/Tamil Nadu) based on user suggestions. The more specific your source, the faster we can verify and publish.
