RERA Karnataka Carpet Area Reporting Requirements 2025
RERA Karnataka mandates developers to report carpet area in both sq ft and sq m on all project brochures and sale agreements from May 2025.
The Real Estate Regulatory Authority of Karnataka has issued a circular requiring all registered developers to disclose apartment and flat carpet area in both square feet and square meters on every project brochure, website listing, and sale agreement. The rule takes effect 1 May 2025.
This dual reporting requirement reflects the practical reality that Karnataka buyers think in square feet while RERA’s legal framework mandates square meters.
