The Punjab Revenue Department has issued a clarification note standardising Marla (272.25 sq ft) and Kanal (5,445 sq ft) as the official units for use in RERA-registered residential project disclosures in urban areas. The note responds to developer requests for guidance on mixing traditional and metric units in project documents.

The clarification confirms: 1 Marla = 272.25 sq ft, 20 Marla = 1 Kanal, 8 Kanal = 1 Acre. These are the standards used in our marla to square feet in punjab and kanal to square feet in punjab calculators.
